Language Exchange in Bulgaria

What is a language exchange?
A language exchange is two or more people who speak different languages practicing each other's language. For example, a German speaker who is learning Bulgarian will do a language exchange with a Bulgarian speaker who is learning German. There are many fun ways to practice in a language exchange and you could make some new friends.

Why a language exchange?
You need a good way to practice speaking. In a class, there is very little time for that, because a lot of time is spent on grammar, vocabulary, writing etc. There are often many students in a class, so there is hardly any talking. Also, there is, if any, no other native speaker except for the teacher. That means you are not used to listening to native speakers as much and may not be able to understand them. You may be not able to express yourself well neither. You're probably not learning the informal expressions and slang that native speakers use. You don't learn anything about how the people live in that culture, their sense of humor, their values, etc.

A language exchange is a great way to address all these problems. A language exchange is a wonderful way to learn the real spoken language.
